EXPLORE OUR GARDEN AT CORTIJO LAS VIÑAS

When we bought Cortijo Las Viñas our garden was just a rough piece of land. After a lot of hard work over many years it is now an established mature garden with an ever changing array of growth.

When we first bought the villa, the accompanying land of almost one acre (just over 4,000 square metres) was unfenced and completely integrated into the surrounding vineyards. Before we could even start on restoring the house or landscaping the gardens, we had to literally clear the land and fence it in, which was quite a task!

We have kept an echo of the agricultural past of Cortijo Las Viñas (literally The Vines Farm) in the form of a garden pergola which is overgrown by two rows of the original grapevines.

Our garden is now a completely private space, enclosed by a perimeter hedge of over 700 Pine trees, with a 70 metre long line of Oleanders hiding the property from the roadside and producing a riot of red and white flowers from Spring through to Autumn

Because the garden is so large you can always find a quiet place to read a book or collect your thoughts in peace.
